And they're off!
Team Siberia is off! They flew out the 24th. Please pray for their safe trip and pray for success in their work. We're sure they're experiencing adventure but they're also facing hardships. We know that with God, everything is surmountable.
Car Wash and Luncheon- April 10-11
The weather channel forecast scattered showers throughout the region, winds from the northwest, slight and a chilly day. However, nobody was about to issue rain checks. At 8.30 the parking lot was already full of cones and equipment and at 9am our first car rolled in. Without a doubt, we experienced a miracle that day. We could see clouds over Harrisonburg and it was drizzling on exit 240, half a mile away. Yet there was a blue patch of sky over the church parking lot for almost the whole day. We were elated and very exited that God would answer
the prayers of many in this way. You could not be there that day and not believe in miracles. Over 70 cars were washed, including three trucks.
On Sunday, had a luncheon scheduleded for church members and guests. However, it was easier now that we had some experience. Almost twice as many people showed up which meant that the message was getting out. There was live music as well as a Mother's Day greeting for all the moms in attendance. All in all, we felt blessed once again and thank God that through these two events almost $6,000 in donations was collected. You can see the pictures by clicking on the photos.

Your wheels and windows will be taken care of and there's an option to get your car vacuumed inside. To quote a member of the community, "It's the best one around!" A pat for Team Florida
What do you do if only 2 members of your youth group are going on a missions trip? Why, gather up as much of the rest of the youth as you can and hold a carwash of course! It was more of a last minute idea. Not much time to prepare and not much experience but a lot of Gods help and human elbow grease amounted to an astonishingly blessed Saturday car wash. Congratulations, girls, for accomplishing so much! We pray that God blesses you as much on the mission fields of Belarus and Ukraine.
Flower Delivery and Luncheon - March 8-9
March 8 and 9 were incredibly busy for our fundraising group. Daniel Lameka had organized two great events: arranged flower delivery on March 8 and a luncheon on the ninth. Both were a smashing success. The amount of work put into both events was
incredible! Arranging flowers required dedication with some orders coming in the last hour, but, thank God, we managed to get them all delivered on time. The luncheon had great energy! There were many radiant faces amongst the waiting staff and many more amongst those who enjoyed the meal. These fundraiser's have brought our total up
to $9,078 - almost halfway to our goal! Stay tuned a possible larger repeats of both of these events in the near future! Click on the pictures to view photos of both events.
I send ye in 2008
This is a special year for our youth. We've never had so many people answer the call for missionary work outside of the country as this year. We know that when the Lord gives our hearts this desire, he will also give us the means. We're working hard on putting together programs and flight plans. Most importantly, we're preparing ourselves. Even though anybody can be a witness for Christ, it does take inner preparation to face the challenges that face us. Many who will go this year have never imagined the terrible conditions that people face in these countries. Even fewer have lived in them for a prolonged period of time. We pray for the support of God himself and His guidance in these matters and we wish to do only His will-none other
